About our sofas

Where are Couch sofas made?

Every Couch sofa, sofabed, footstool and chair is crafted by hand in Puglia, Italy then sent by road directly to your door.

Do you have a showroom?

Our furniture is only available online for you to browse from the comfort of your home. This way, we can offer you high end furniture without high end prices. Feel free to get in touch with any questions on fabrics or sizes: we offer up to six fabric samples free of charge.

Do your sofas come with a guarantee?

Absolutely. We offer a 2-year guarantee on both the frame and fabric.

Can I modify your designs to fit my requirements?

Most of our collections come in an amazing range of sizes to fit your room. But, if you’ve fallen in love with a style yet a different size option, then we can certainly look into arranging this as there are modular pieces that can be added or removed to your individual size specification.

Ordering

Do you offer free leather samples?

It’s all very well us waxing lyrical about how wonderful our high quality Italian leathers are, but we think it’s really important for you to experience this quality before buying.

We offer a selection of leather swatches for you to see, touch and decide what would complement your home. You can order 6 free samples online (or more, for a small charge), but feel free to email hello@couchandsofas.com if you have any questions or need help deciding.

How do I place an order?

Choose your sofa (decisions, divine decisions!) and place a 50% deposit. The minute we know it’s ready, we’ll request the 50% balance. Once paid, we will send the full receipt and arrange delivery at a convenient time for you.

All Couch pieces are lovingly made to order and take approximately 8 weeks from start to finish.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

Your Couch sofa, sofa bed, footstool or chair is tailor-made just for you, so can take up to eight weeks from the date you placed the order. We’ll let you know exactly how everything is coming along and will arrange a convenient delivery date and time. We will also email updates on the progress of your order:

             Order confirmation (on payment of deposit)

             6 weeks later (when your piece is being made)

             2 weeks before delivery (to collect the balance and arrange delivery)

Can I talk to someone before I order?

Whatever your question is, just ask away. No chatbots, no automated messages and no department-passing-around; instead, there will be a happy someone in customer service at the end of the phone for you, Monday to Friday 9am - 5.pm. Delivery

How much is delivery?

Here comes the best bit … delivery is included in the price to all mainland UK postcodes. Surcharges need to be applied in certain areas such as Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and other offshore Isles. (Please call before ordering and we can work out any additional costs.)

Do you deliver abroad?

We currently only deliver to the Costa del Sol area of Spain.

What happens on delivery?

We offer a white glove two-person delivery. Our team will deliver your fabulous new furniture to whichever room it’s intended for, unwrap it and assemble it. They’ll then take away all the packaging and dispose of it environmentally.

Will my sofa fit?

Every sofa on our website shows its precise measurements and dimensions so that you can check if a) it will get through the door and b) the proportions work for your room. Our sofas are designed to fit through standard-size door frames but … we always recommend that you check the dimensions scrupulously.

Returns, refunds and cancellations

Do you offer refunds?

Your Couch furniture is made to order for you, and only you. Once our craftspeople have started to your specifications, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchange unfortunately. (Please see our full terms and conditions.)

What if my items arrive damaged?

Our sofas are incredibly well wrapped, so it is very, very unlikely that yours will arrive damaged which is why we always ask clients to check their furniture carefully once assembled.

The delivery team will also ask you to sign the delivery paperwork to accept your delivery. Any damage must be reported immediately and noted on the delivery paperwork. Please also contact customer services straight away on 0121 803 0340 so that we can help you.

How do I cancel an order?

We do hope you won’t feel the need to but, If you have to cancel an order you have already placed, you have 48 hours to notify us. Please email hello@couchandsofas.com as quickly as possible, quoting your order reference number.

Cancellations and amendments after this time are not accepted, deposits will be forfeited, and you will be liable for the final balance.

Product care and maintenance

What’s the best way to look after my leather sofa?

We use leather with the most wonderful quality and grain, but it does need some TLC so that it can continue to look and feel lovely for a long time to come.

Leather can lighten if exposed to direct sunlight, so be careful where you place your Couch furniture. It can also be damaged if exposed to heat such as a radiator.

To clean your leather sofa, use a gentle, hand-held vacuum and a soft, dry cloth or a cloth and a little soapy water for a bit more elbow grease. To keep your leather looking its best, use a leather cleaner regularly. A slightly damp cloth is perfect for light stains, but avoid using excess moisture and never, ever use chemicals.
